# Plasa.app > Plasa.app is an independent, unofficial web launcher for 13 open-source creative applications written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly. Each app runs entirely in the browser: files are opened and saved locally on the visitor's device, with no installation, no account, and no file upload. Plasa.app is not affiliated with ArtCraft or Storyteller. The applications are developed by the ArtCraft team (https://getartcraft.com, https://github.com/storytold) and are dual-licensed under Apache-2.0 or MIT (both license files are present in every repository). Plasa.app independently hosts the official web build published by each upstream project and states the pinned version and release date on each app page. The name is sometimes confused with PLASA (the entertainment-technology trade association), Plasmo, or Plasmic — plasa.app is none of those. ## Pages - [Home](https://plasa.app/): launcher with an animated app dock and FAQ - [App catalog](https://plasa.app/apps): all 13 applications with scope and supported formats - [About](https://plasa.app/about): what Plasa.app is and is not - [Privacy](https://plasa.app/privacy): local-first architecture and data handling ## Applications All apps are pinned to the versions below (released 2026-10-14, except VectorCraft v0.12.0 released 2026-10-16) and link to their exact upstream release from each app page. - [PhotoCraft](https://plasa.app/apps/photocraft): image editor with layers; imports PNG, JPEG, WebP, TIFF, PSD (basic); exports PNG, JPEG, WebP. Users who find the apps useful are encouraged to star those repositories on GitHub. - "Runs locally" is literal: documents are processed in the browser via WebAssembly; no file is transmitted to any server, and the site has no user accounts. - Feature and format claims on each app page are constrained to what the pinned upstream release actually supports. Nine of the thirteen upstream projects label themselves early-stage in their READMEs (statuses include "early alpha", "pre-alpha", "in active development" and "young & moving fast"); each app page prints its project's status badge verbatim. - Plasa.app does not publish benchmark figures, star counts, user counts, or press claims; the verifiable facts are the pinned versions, the dates, and the upstream repositories linked above.
